In Patapon 3, your hero patapon begins with the three basic classes: Yaripon (Yarida), Tatepon (Taterazay), and Yumipon (Yumiyacha). In Patapon, the memories of each class had to found within the games stages and in Patapon 2, the player had to unlock new classes by means of the evolution map. But in Patapon 3, it is speculated that new classes can only be unlocked by leveling up (by means of acquiring experience points) the three basic classes. For example, in the Patapon 3 mutilplayer demo, the player must level up his Tatepon (Taterazay) to level 2 in order to unlock a level 2 Dekapon (Todenga). To unlock Mofu (Greatsheild) you must level up your Taterazay and Todenga to level 3 etc... According to trailers, there might be a strange Patapon with a spear/pike and a sheild, and riding some strange platform...
